Caterpillars everywhere!

The last couple of weeks, there have been caterpillars everywhere– on the road, in the grass, on my mistflowers. I don’t remember this from previous years. Interesting.

I don’t remember seeing as many black fuzzy caterpillars in past years as I’ve seen this past month or so either! They’ve been eating my kale, cauliflower, beans, lettuces, blackfoot daisies–seems like everything. Apparently the black fuzzies w/orange will become Leopard moths.

How interesting! Will they be okay with the weather cooling off now?

Our pest problems stopped when we got a boy puppy. He eats all the garden pests… escargot!
