Pedernales Falls State Park

We went to Pedernales Falls State Park on Easter Sunday afternoon. It was crowded, but not enough to ruin our fun. We just hiked around the falls with Sweetpea, jumping from rock to rock and finding our way. It was a beautiful day! We drove home on small country roads, which was way more fun than the highway.

Cypress trees, limestone, and yucca on the rocky slopes in the distance. That about says it all.

I was surprised to find out this was a moth. The nice people at Butterflies and Moths of North America identified it for me.

I don’t know how I managed to miss that at the very beginning you stated “we went to pedernales falls state park”. So I’m sitting there looking at the pictures going, “wow that really looks like pedernales state park. I wonder where she was since she didn’t mention it.”

    🙂

Ha! I do the same thing with blogs… mostly scan the photos!
