Done planting!
BT worked so hard in the garden today! After double-digging the old parsley patch, we now have even MORE peppers (I think we have 10 total, they are Mr. New Mexico’s favorite), 2 garlic chive plants, and seeds in for pole beans, Malabar spinach, sorrel, and acorn squash. Any tips on growing sorrel here in Texas? I didn’t know if it would be suitable or not, but the Boggy Creek Farm cookbook has it as a warm-season green.
It’s bulk trash pickup week here in Crestview, and I have found a few treasures, including a compost sifter, tomato cages, a pair of doors for some future project, and a trellis for the Malabar spinach. All for free!
