Friends & Family Gardening

Big 33

This weekend I hit the big 3-3. I had a lovely dinner with friends and family, and more celebration is upcoming this week, with a trip to Houston. I’m not much of a birthday person, but it was really nice to have a reason to get together with people. Thanks to Dixie for the passalong plants pictured! I have been coveting both of these for a long time. BT’s gift to me was a reservation for two at Dai Due‘s seafood dinner next month. I’m looking forward to some garden veggies as well as the seafood. (I’ve been vegetarian for 14 years and just started eating fish last year. I really try to choose from the sustainable fisheries, which happen not to include delicious shrimp and red snapper, so my entry into seafood has been lackluster. Catfish po-boys and Alaskan salmon are the winners so far, but I absolutely give up on tilapia!)

Today is the Crestview garden tour, and I can’t wait. I’ll take my camera so I can share a little bit, I’m sure there’s going to be lots to see.

Happy birthday. I look forward to your report on the Crestview garden tour…I have several friends in that neighborhood. (Sort of hot for garden viewing today, though.)

HAppy Birthday! Passalong plants are the best, aren’t they? You can always remember your freind whenever you see them bloom.
